I've spend nearly 30 years in private medicine, in London. Building teams, shaping culture and trying to make physio so much better than how it's often perceived.
I started Six Physio in 1996 with one idea: treat the person, not the part. Turns out that still works! And for the avoidance of doubt: No, I haven’t retired. No, I haven’t been struck off. No, I haven’t been kidnapped.
I’m just working differently for a bit.
I’ve run clinics, grown them, rebuilt them, fixed the messy bits and learnt more from the hard yards than the easy wins.
None of that stops now - I’m just speaking a bit more openly about what this sector gets right, wrong and conveniently ignored.
I really, really care about three things:
culture, clarity and doing the work properly.
Everything else is noise.
This site is where I park what I’ve learnt - the patterns, the leadership stuff, the commercial truths, the human stories and the bits nobody admits but everyone feels.
Just the reality of 30 years in an industry I still love (even when it misbehaves).
A project I led 7 years ago (!) during my time at Six Physio, integrating Samsung tech into real MSK practice to improve patient outcomes.
